Communications Manager

We are looking for a Communications Manager to be based in Jakarta to support the execution of a communication strategy within the country. Led by the Country Senior Communications Manager, and working with programme staff, the Communications Manager will create and manage campaigns related to internal and change communications, and external communications within the country. As the Communications Manager, you will be supporting marketing teams with the creation of content for the Education and Exams businesses. You will create or adapt online and printed communications materials – over-see, write and/or edit collateral including websites, events calendar, press releases, brochures and printed material to a variety of internal and external audiences including major donors and prospects, industry-specific networks, and the general public. You will also be accountable for supporting relationships with the media stakeholders and publicity campaigns managed by partners and contracted agents. You would have the opportunity to generate social media plans to support country impact and activities, align in-country plans with regional approaches to social media, and manage evaluation and analysis of social media engagement to improve engagement with target audiences. Occasional national and international travel and unsocial/evening hours working may be required.

To be considered a successful candidate for this role, you must have considerable experience in creating communications campaigns for different audiences across different platforms as well as managing social media campaigns. Demonstrable experience in event management leadership and excellent written and spoken English language skills are required. Candidates who have experience in copywriting and in creating and implementing press activities for a global organisation will be preferred. A relevant degree in communications, journalism, marketing is a must.
